President Zardari gave Rs. 100 million to Shahzaib Rindh, the world Karate champion, for his big win. The ceremony was held on October 9, 2024, at Aiwan-e-Sadr. Shahzaib, 26, from Balochistan, made history by becoming the first Pakistani world Karate champion. He won the championship in Singapore last month by defeating Brazil’s Bruno Roberto De Assis.
Shahzaib also competes in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). His win made Pakistan proud and showed the world how talented the country is in sports. Shahzaib said his victory was a “dream come true” and thanked his fans for their support.
When Shahzaib came back to Pakistan, many people welcomed him at Quetta Airport. Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Sarfraz Bugti, was there too. The celebration continued with a ceremony, where President Zardari praised Shahzaib’s hard work and said he is an example for young people in Pakistan.
President Zardari said, “Shahzaib’s win shows how much talent our country has. We need to keep supporting young athletes who can do well in the world.” He added that sports help teach discipline and bring people together.
Shahzaib’s win has inspired many young people in Pakistan, especially in Balochistan. The Rs. 100 million prize shows how much the country values his achievement and the government’s support for sports.
